Words of intention, affirmation, and incantations
Words for Grief, Transition, and Renewal
This is a space for words that hold you.
For moments of pet grief, for the ache of transition, for the quiet hope of renewal.
Here, prayer is not bound to a religion or a doctrine. It is an act of listening. A soft reaching. Remembering that you are not alone in what you are carrying.
I once struggled to relate to the word prayer. Over time, it became something living and personal. I pray by communing with Source, with my ancestors, with the natural world. With breath. With the unseen threads that connect us to love, loss, and becoming.
You are invited to meet these words in your own way.
You are welcome to read these offerings as a daily practice, in moments of overwhelm, or during rituals of remembrance and renewal.
Print them out and place them on an altar, tuck them into a journal, or give them to a friend who needs the steadying power of healing language.
Let them be companions during sleepless nights, quiet mornings, or long walks where grief and love walk side by side.

Every Friday at 9 AM EST, Still Waters opens on Facebook — a free grief support livestream where we actually talk about your new reality. Where to find the stuck grief in your body. How to resource yourself when the waves come. Gentle movement that doesn't require a mat, a gym, or any energy you don't have.

Still Waters is a free weekly grief support livestream hosted by Courtney of The Cosmic Craft. Every Friday at 9AM EST on Facebook, we gather for an hour of grief education, nervous system tools, gentle movement, and a tarot or oracle card pull. It was created with pet loss in mind, but anyone moving through grief is welcome.

Still Waters is for anyone carrying a loss — the death of an animal companion, anticipatory grief while caring for a terminally ill or aging pet, disenfranchised grief that the world hasn't made space for, or any other loss you're holding. You do not need to have lost an animal to belong here
-
Anticipatory grief is the grief that begins before a loss occurs. If you are caring for an aging, ill, or terminally diagnosed animal companion, you may already be grieving them — while still filling their bowl, scheduling their medications, and watching their chest rise and fall at night. This is a real, recognized form of grief, and it deserves support now, not after. Still Waters holds space for the before, the during, and the after.

Holistic grief support addresses grief as a whole-body experience — not just emotional, but physical, energetic, and spiritual. At Still Waters, this looks like nervous system education, gentle somatic movement, and intuitive tools like tarot. Rather than treating grief as something to fix or move through quickly, holistic support meets you where you are and works with your body's natural wisdom.
