Aries: March 21 – April 19
Aries folks, you might feel a little pressed about losing the sunshine already, but fret not, there’s still plenty of exciting energy left in the air! Getting into a super social hobby like home-brewing would give you the community connection that you’re craving! Plus, the healthy dose of competition on whose beer, wine, or kombucha is the most unique will get your creative gears going. You’ll love getting to go down a new rabbit hole, and even be excited to share your new hobby with people all year round!
Taurus: April 20 – May 20
Those with the Sun in Taurus will want something practical, but also something to tantalize the senses. Think homemade hot sauce or homemade jams. Any funky and cool condiment that you can think of, but bonus points if it’s fermented or involves unique ingredients! They’ll want to impress friends, of course, but more importantly, they’ll want to make things that light their soul up. It’s something they can comfortably do at home, but also lose themselves in a message board late at night, chatting with new digital friends about their latest strawberry-rhubarb jalapeño jam & how they’ve been incorporating it into their autumn meals on the grill!
Gemini: May 21 – June 20
Gemini wants to do something that will positively impact their skillset. They’d be the first to join a new book club, especially an immersive one where folks bake dishes from the book, or dress in character. Meeting with folks like this as the weather gets cooler will help keep their spirits high as we lose more light in the day. Geminis love to talk about their current interests, and what better way to do that than around their current reads! Especially since Geminis can sometimes get lost in conversation, having a book to center their mind on can help them not get so distracted.
Cancer: June 21 – July 22
Folks ruled by Cancer will need to keep their hands busy so their mind doesn’t wander off, so consider picking up knitting, crocheting, or even quilting. Cancer folks will love the fact that they’re able to continue the cozy vibes by creating blankets, sweaters, and hats for themselves and loved ones, too! For the more social Cancer folks, consider joining a sewing circle that way you can indulge in your new hobby, but not be too overstimulated. Sewing circles tend to be lighthearted, calm, and low-impact. Plus, you don’t necessarily need to interject in the conversation; you can sit back, craft, and enjoy the conversations of others like a fly on the wall (one of Cancer’s favorite things to do!)
Leo: July 23 – August 22
Leos love a good dose of healthy competition, and while it’s not cozy to most, they’d probably love to join a new rub-club. Especially one that ends at a brewery so they can chat with others about their time, what running gear they’re using, and exchange tips + tricks! Plus, they can push themselves as hard as they want, either trailblazing ahead or lingering in the back, chatting with new friends. The ride home is the cozy part, as they’re beaming in their car, feeling accomplished that they got a workout in, and made some new friends doing so!
Virgo: August 23 – September 22
Those with the Sun in Virgo need something that doesn’t have too much of a learning curve. Not because they can’t do difficult things, but because they’ll walk away from it if it doesn’t click right away. Virgos love data, along with measuring and troubleshooting. Fermentation, like pickles, saurkraut, and lactofermented fruits, gives them the opportunity to be creative, but also have a container to practice in and rules to follow. Plus, the nature of fermentation allows for some loose interpretation and forgiveness with exact measurements. They’ll love collecting new books, sourcing ingredients from friends, and starting their own recipe archive. It’ll allow them to tinker and have a physical finished product at the end that they’re able to show off, and enjoy themselves too!
Libra: September 23 – October 22
Libra is definitely going to want to keep it cozy, but they’re not going to want things to be too quiet. Think of games they can do at home, or rotate between friends’ houses. Game night, puzzles, or even something more elaborate like Dungeons and Dragons will be on their cozy fall hobby list! It gives Libras a little bit of structure to their week, which they love. The anticipation of looking forward to Friday game night at the neighbors’ with a handful of their close friends is just what they’ll crazy as we dip into the cooler months. Plus, they’ll appreciate the fact that they won’t need to be out and about, and can keep it comfy with sweatpants and some yummy snacks.
Scorpio: October 23 – November 21
Scorpios usually teeter between craving socialization and wanting to be alone. They’ll need something that they’re able to do in a group setting, but do at home when they need to recharge their social battery. Collecting VHS tapes and occasionally hosting viewing parties is how they’re able to blend the two. They can scour eBay or a local thrift store for collectible VHSs or trade with local vintage lovers. It gives them the opportunity to choose their own adventure and not be too swept up in plans. They can choose to have a relaxing night in with a nostalgic favorite, or host a house full of their closest friends to watch a cult-classic!
Sagittarius: November 22 – December 21
Sagittarius needs something that allows them to be social, but also have fun. Joining a new trivia team, whether at a brewery or at their favorite coffee shop, is the perfect compromise! They’ll get to indulge in healthy competition, which they love. Sagittarius folks are naturally good at debating, and I see a lot of these folks as clients who go into law because of their innate ability to do so. Trivia gives them the outlet to let loose, have fun, but also have a chance at beating the competition! They’ll have fun in some playful rivalries and likely make good friends with those on their team and who they’re directly competing against. They’ll definitely get a kick out of bringing their more reserved friends to try out trivia night, and get folks out of their shells a bit, too!
Capricorn: December 22 – January 19
People with lots of Capricorn energy will need something low maintenance, and something that doesn’t throw off their schedule too often (because it’s usually already pretty packed. They’ll need something that doesn’t rely on others too much, and something they can do from the comfort of their own home. For the folks that didn’t get in on the 2020 sourdough craze, this autumn will be your year! Capricorns love structure, and the fact that they’ll have recipes upon recipes to try out themselves and have a list to follow will make it low-stakes but high-reward! They’ll enjoy the fact that they’ll have books, message boards, and YouTube videos to reference all without leaving the house or getting too entangled with social obligations.
Aquarius: January 20 – February 18
Aquarius folks like to keep it interesting, and what could be more cozy and more off-the-cuff than fostering kittens! They’ll be boosting their own mental health by having cute little kittens in the house, and love the fact that their pals will be coming over to see their new furry friends! They’ll love the fact that they’re helping kittens find homes, aiding their local community, and the best part—not dealing with too many crowds. For the most part, they can stay home, make their own rules, and help tiny beings! Plus, they’ll love the aspect of finding community that cares about the greater good of humanity. They’ll be able to stop at the shelter to pick up supplies, chat with other volunteers about cats, and then be on their way. It’s low commitment in terms of their social battery, but it warms up their hearts!
Pisces: February 19 – March 20
Pisces are naturally incredible at setting the vibe! They’re able to curate events, fashion, or style a room with ease! The most notable way to do that is with scents. Candle or incense making will give them an outlet to totally change the way a room feels. They can make a room feel uplifting, cozy, or energetic just by infusing their intentions with the aromas at hand! Plus, knowing a typical Pisces, they’ll not only create candles, but a whole experience.
